Waxing FAQ's

*Please allow 48 hours before & after sunbathing or using a tanning bed before and after waxing. Waxing is the removal of facial and body hair using ceripil hard and soft (strip) wax. For optimal results in removing hair from the root, most hair growth must be a least two to six weeks or 1/4-inch long. It is recommended you discontinue shaving any areas where waxing will be performed. Please refrain from physical exertion, saunas (dry or wet), swimming, hot tubs and showers before and after waxing. Optimal waxing results are not achieved when skin is hot or moist from perspiration. We recommend you do do not wear tight clothing before or after your waxing appointment and to not wear panties when sleeping before or after any bikini waxing. To help prevent ingrown hairs we recommend to gently exfoliate once a week areas you have waxed and to moisturize daily.

Waxing services cannot be performed on clients who are currently taking Accutane. or other acne medications, or antibiotics, due to skin-sensitivity issues caused by these prescriptions. Clients must be off Accutane for at least 12 months prior to waxing and off of prescription antibiotics or other acne medications for 4 weeks prior to waxing. If you are using Retin-A, AHA's or BHA's or any exfoliating products at least 72 hours preferably 1 week prior to waxing. If you are taking antibiotics, please consult your pharmacist or physician before waxing.

Tinting, Lift & Lamination FAQ's

Lash Lifting and Brow Lamination is perming of the eyelashes and eyebrows. Maintaining your results will require regular visits every 8 weeks to perm your eyelashes and/or eyebrows, or until your lashes/brows are straight again.

Tinting is the temporary dying of your eyelashes and/or eye brows to give a fuller more look to the lashes and brows.

With a few simple care instructions you will be on your way to enjoying your lashes/brows. To increase the longevity of your lashes/brows, it is advised to avoid moisture, heat and touching as much as possible.

*Before your appointment*

  • If you use waterproof mascara, avoid using it 2-3 days before your first appointment. The film it leaves on your lashes may prevent the lift solution from processing correctly.

  • Arrive to your appointment with dry, clean lashes and makeup-free eyes.

  • Remove contact lenses before your appointment.

  • During the initial 24-48 hours after your appointment

  • Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after the lash lift. It will affect the efficacy and longevity of the lash lift.

  • Avoid steam from showers, facials, stovetops, saunas and swimming pools etc.

  • Avoid getting moisture around the eye area when washing face, showering etc.

  • Avoid tanning beds for 48 hours after lash lift

  • Avoid facials, waxing or laser treatments around the eyes for 48 hours after lash lift

*General guidelines to extend the life of your lashes*

  • Avoid using oil-based skincare and makeup products around the eye, including mascara and makeup remover.

  • Avoid waterproof mascara. If you can, it is better not to use any mascara at all. You may find you don’t even need it!

  • Avoid rubbing your eyes or lashes, especially when washing your face. It is recommended to clean around the eye area with a washcloth or cotton swab (Q-tip).

  • Avoid using an eyelash curler. One of the benefits of lash lifts is the ability to add curl to your lashes. If you would like more curl, please speak to your technician to determine if this is possible/a good option.

  • Sleep on your back the first 24-48 hours to avoid the risk of lashes rubbing against your pillow so the shape and curl of the lash lift isn’t compromised

  • Gently brush your lashes with a lash spoolie wand to groom them. The best time to do this is after showering

  • Avoid pulling your lashes

  • If you experience any pain, redness or irritation during or after your lash lift, contact your technician immediately.
